If you haven’t heard of binaural beats before, the basic idea is as follows. Your brain waves have frequencies that they go through during the day. Gamma waves are associated with higher mental activity, problem solving, and fear. Beta waves are associated with anxiety, arousal, and busy thinking. Alpha waves are associated with waking relaxation, pre-sleep, and drowsiness. Theta waves are associated with dreams, deep meditation, and REM sleep. Delta waves are associated with deep dreamless sleep, and loss of body awareness. Binaural beats are beats of two different frequencies that are played separately in each ear. Since the two beats are different, the brain tries to make up the difference by creating a frequency of brainwaves that is equal to the difference between the two frequencies played in each ear. Using this method, Holosync claims to be able to entrain your brainwaves, moving them down to the relaxing Theta and Delta levels.
